Description
The Over-Voltage-Protection OVP15.2 is a resettable overvoltage protection. This is looped into the charging line by the controller rectifier to protect the on-board battery from overcharging and destruction in the event of control failure. The trigger voltage is set so that LiFePO4 batteries can be protected with it.
Functional features:
A relay (normally closed contact) is built into the OVP, which disconnects the charging current from the battery when the trigger voltage is exceeded. If the battery voltage drops below 12V again, the relay opens again and the battery can be charged again. The supplied reset button with LED can be installed on the one hand as a control lamp to indicate the tripped state and at the same time as a reset button, in case of unintentional tripping of the fuse.
Installation:
The OVP should be installed as close as possible to the battery. The charging cable must be disconnected from the battery and then the blue cable of the OVP connected to the negative terminal, the red cable to the positive terminal and the yellow cable to the disconnected charging cable.
